Parul Mathuria is a leading researcher in the area of energy and power markets. Her research interests are Energy economics, Power sector regulation and policy, Energy Markets, power system operation and planning. She researches multiple aspects of uncertainty based decision making in the power sector. She has expertise in various portfolio optimization techniques, risk management, multi-market uncertainty dynamics, and integrated risk management. She is presently working on renewable uncertainty issues, their economics, and impacts on grid operation, virtual power plants, virtual energy storage, demand response aggregation, and retail and local energy transactions in smart grid.
